This year we went down to Orangeville for Orangeville Days, which was the weekend after the 24th. We had a lot of fun while we were there and kept really busy!
Friday night they had a kids bike parade. Beckett and his cousins decorated their bikes and had a fun time riding in the parade. Afterwards we had the 'lamb fry' dinner at the park and bike races. They did it by age group. I wasn't sure if Beckett would actually do it because he tends to get shy in those types of situations. HOWEVER, he did and he won! He rode his bike in the 3-4 year old age group and took first, that little stud won 5 bucks that he got to put in his piggy bank :)
They also had a pig chase. Only in Orangeville, right? They did that in age groups as well. Beckett and Bridger participated and went on the baseball field to try and touch the pig. They ran and ran but were too afraid to touch the pig. After a while Josh & Dustin each grabbed their boy and pretty much threw them on top of the pig. Haha, a little tough love never hurt anybody.....I guess.
Saturday morning was the Orangeville Days 5k and parade. We did the 5k to start our morning off right. At the parade they threw a TON of candy. At this point in the parade season, Beckett is a pro candy catcher.
We headed to Joes Valley that afternoon to do a little boating. Josh did some killer wakeboarding. He even got Beckett to get out into the water and on the wakeboard. They didn't last too long out there but they did ride the wakeboard on their tummies for a minute. Pretty brave for a 3 year old if you ask me!
The fun doesn't stop there! That night we went to the rodeo in Castledale. It was the kids first time at a rodeo. Beckett enjoyed seeing all the animals but it was a little too long for him to sit still. That night they topped off the celebrations with fireworks. It was a long, fun day. They really know how to celebrate in Orangeville!

Harlow: 6 Months
My little miss is 6 months old! Some days I look at her and can't believe how big she has gotten.
Stats:
Weight: 17.6 pounds (80%)
Height: 27" (89%)
- Harlow is sitting up! She is definitely still wobbly, but with supervision she can sit up for a good 5-10 minutes.
- She is still a happy, easy-going baby. As long as she's around people, she is loving life.
- Love, love, loves her big brother. Beckett love, love, loves her. They both make each other laugh and smile....it's the best!
- She loves to eat watermelon and cantaloupe. Those are by far her favorites. She is pretty skeptical about all other baby food.
- Harlow is now taking 2 big naps a day, in the morning and in the afternoon.
- She wakes up 1-2x/night. We're working on it! Hopefully she'll sleep through the night soon :)
- Sissy loves to smile, she is seriously always happy. However, she's a pretty tough crowd when it comes to laughing. It takes a lot of work to get a good laugh out of her.
- She is starting to make more noises, like "mamamamama".
- Her hair is starting to thicken and come in more, and yes, it is still red!

27 Years
I have now entered my 27th year. I always thought it was weird when 'older' people would sometimes forget how old they were. Now I understand. It seems like time goes by so fast these days, I often have to think for a second to figure out how old I am. Maybe it's not such a bad thing, maybe it just means I'm getting older AND wiser :)
Per the usual, I got SPOILED for my birthday. The day before (Sunday) my parents threw the twinner and I a family birthday dinner, which was delish. We ate, opened presents, had cake & homemade strawberry ice cream, played croquet (with cheaters), and snapped peas with my grandma. It was a fun-filled night!
The next day, my birthday, Josh took the day off so we could spend it together as a family. My request was to go to Ruths Diner for breakfast, so that's where we went. It was fun to go up there for breakfast, it's good food and in a perfect location. We took it easy afterwards and then went swimming in the afternoon. Harlow is loving the water more and more each time. That night, my wonderful parentals watched the kids so that Josh & I could go to a movie. We saw, 'Tammy' with Melissa McCarthy. I love that actress, she can do no wrong.
Cheers to another year!

Sharp Family Reunion: Palisade Reservoir
This year the Sharp family vacation was at Palisade Reservoir, right by Manti. We had a lot of fun together, as we always do. I always cross my fingers that no little ones get hurt (because there are so many running around!) It's tons of fun, especially for Beckett to be around all of his cousins. He loves it. Here is a recap of our trip, mostly in picture form.
We got family pictures at the Manti Temple. These are a couple I captured on my phone.
Played at the Reservoir-canoeing, swimming, fishing.
Hiked up Maple Canyon to see the natural arch. After the hike we ate lunch, and went rock climbing. All of the kids got a turn (the kids that wanted a turn) to climb up. A lot of them made it all the way to the top. They are more brave than I am!
We did some site seeing in Ephraim and Manti. Josh and I both loved our experience at Snow College. It was fun to go back and see all of our old hang outs.
