Couples Bowling Night

This was LONG overdue, but Josh & I and a few of my good friends that are now married got together for some dinner and bowling. I haven't gotten to see these guys enough lately, and as always, it was a blast! I must boast a little bit here-they had a jump rope competition at the bowling alley and I totally won! {Laura & Scott can thank me for their free game of bowling ;) }

All in all, it was good food, music, bowling, and most of all good friends to spend some time with!

Engagement Pictures :)

Josher and I took our engagement pictures last week; I got to see them yesterday and they turned out really well! We took them at Wheeler Farm, which was awesome because there were tons of different places to take pictures at. The only downfall was that it was super hot! But, we were troopers ;) Here are a few of the pictures I like:

SYTYCD

If you know me then you know that I L-O-V-E to watch the show, So You Think You Can Dance. I have watched it since the first season and i'm a complete die hard fan. You won't catch me missing an episode (thank HEAVENS for tvo). I think, in general, dancers get little to no credit for what they do and now there is finally something on tv that showcases it. I have made (note the word: made) Josh watch it with me a few times. Needless to say he isn't quite as big of a fan as I am :) Hey, a girls gotta have her shows too, right? There is only so many baseball games a girl can watch! ANYWAYS- below is a video of a few of my favorite dances through the years for ALL to enjoy!

Start Watching! It's on Fox 13 everyweek
Wednesdays 7-9
Thursdays 8-9

Incubus Concert

Aloha! Last night Josher took me to the Incubus concert. Not gonna lie-I'd never really listened to this band (not my flavor of music), but it ended up being pretty fun! A bunch of Josh's friends got tickets as well so we got to socialize and sit on the grass. The concert was at Usana
Amphitheatre, i'd never been there before, but I really liked it a lot. Now I need to take Josh to a Chris Brown concert or something ;)

Orangeville 4 Life

This last weekend I went down to Orangeville to spend the weekend with Josh & his family. It had been a while since I had been down there because i've been so busy with wedding stuff-it was awesome to finally get there and get away. I have to admit i'm liking that small, little town more and more. Josh always keeps us super busy when i'm there with stuff to do-which is an awesome break from work & wedding planning :) We went boating on Saturday in Huntington and I learned how to Wakeboard-well....I am no pro, but I at least got up! After that experience I decided to give Knee Boarding a try-Kari (Josh's sister) got in the lake with me and taught me how....it was way fun! I loved it.

Later that day we went up into the mountains and Josh taught me how to load & shoot a Riffle and Shotgun (I think, lol). Then we had a BBQ-Josh's favorite thing-and capped off the night with some UFC fighting......what a good woman I am for watching that ;) for the record Taylor likes that kind of stuff she was getting into it as much as we were.

Californ-i-a {Newport Beach}

Unfortunately Josh and I are back from our fabulous vacation to Newport Beach, CA. It was wonderful...and I for one, wish I was still there! We flew there with my immediate and extended family early on July 4th and enjoyed that day on the beach. We stayed right next to the board walk in a beach house and spent a lot of time people watching :) We got a lot of beach time in, shopped, boogie boarded in the freezing water, road bicycles on the boardwalk, and ate some good food! It was a good time and I miss spending time with my whole family. Josh now knows what its like to be apart of the Stapley Family....to say the least. :D

The night before we went to California (3rd) We headed up to Eaglewood to watch some fireworks. It was fun but WAY crowded!

Michael Jackson Tribute

MJ is the Man! I was looking forward to his comeback...
My favorite song of all time happens to be from Michael Jackson, 'Heal the World'. I've posted it here for you all to enjoy :)

NEW YORK, NY – June 25, 2009 – Michael Jackson, one of the most widely beloved entertainers and profoundly influential artists of all-time, leaves an indelible imprint on popular music and culture.

Commenting on his passing, Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman, CEO and President, Sony Corporation, said: “Michael Jackson was a brilliant troubadour for his generation, a genius whose music reflected the passion and creativity of an era. His artistry and magnetism changed the music landscape forever. We have been profoundly affected by his originality, creativity and amazing body of work. The entire Sony family extends our deepest condolences to his family and to the millions of fans around the world who loved him.”

Five of Jackson’s solo albums – “Off the Wall,” “Thriller,” “Bad,” “Dangerous” and “HIStory,” all with Epic Records, a Sony Music label – are among the top-sellers of all time. During his extraordinary career, he sold an estimated 750 million records worldwide, released 13 No.1 singles and became one of a handful of artists to be inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Jackson as the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time and “Thriller” as the Biggest Selling Album of All Time. Jackson won 13 Grammy Awards and received the American Music Award’s Artist of the Century Award.
Michael Jackson started in the music business at the age of 11 with his brothers as a member of the Jackson 5. In the early 1980s, he defined the art form of music video with such ground-breaking videos as “Billie Jean,” “Beat It” and the epic “Thriller.” Jackson’s sound, style and dance moves inspired subsequent generations of pop, soul, R&B and hip-hop artists.
