Giving Thanks

We had a GREAT Thanksgiving this year! We started off the day with the annual family Turkey Bowl. It grows every year and this year was a blast. It was White (Dad, Josh, Me, Gillian, Dax, Mark, Pete, and Chase) versus Black (Trevor, Charlee, Avery. Brooks, Brett, Jono, Gina, and Royce). The black team had won for the last two years, but guess who won this year? WHITE! Boo ya! Like my dad said, white represents the good guys and black the devils, good always wins.

After working off some calories we settled down to a Stapley Thanksgiving. It was delicious and my mom cooked her little fingers off. After the food coma wore out, Josh & I headed out to do some black friday shopping. We're not avid black friday shoppers, but we like a good deal. We got a few things at Walmart & Target but the real winner was Kohls! Such good deals-nothing beats a good deal.

The Holidays Are Here :)

Have I ever mentioned that I L-O-V-E the holidays? My husband would say i've mentioned it a little too much. Today our little family went to City Creek Center to check out the Christmas festivities going on there, including the candy windows at Macy's. When I was little I remember going with my family to look at the window displays at the old ZCMI building. I am glad they brought the tradition back. The displays were really cool! You should all go check them out if you haven't yet. Cheers to the holidays :)

Beckett: 18 Months

Mr. Beckett is officially 18 months old! He is such a happy, energetic boy and we love him to death. He had his 18 month check-up today; he is following his growth chart like a champ.

Height: 34" (90%)
Weight: 26.1 lbs (65%)

Here is a glimpse of what Beckett is like these days:
-Throws any ball he can get his hands on.
-His favorite book is his animal picture book that he can make animal sounds too while we read.
-Can say about 10 words.
-Loves his bubble baths, he loves baths in general.
-Can't get enough of the outside. Makes me nervous for winter.
-His favorite food is fruit. Berries, canned peaches or pears, mandarin oranges. Could eat them all day.
-Always takes our finger and leads us to where he wants to go, this one knows what he wants.(wonder where he got that from.....)
-Rough playing and wrestling is his thing, good thing his dad is always willing.
-Momma's boy. Follows me around everywhere and will lock himself in the bathroom with me everyday.
-His best friend is Romeo.
-At 18 months, Beckett is in full temper tantrum mode. If this boy doesn't get what he wants when he wants it then it is on the floor and screaming.
-Spoiled, he is always the center of attention-and loves it!
