Phew....busy, busy! So...update time! A few weeks ago the Stape's from Arizona came in town to endure some winter weather! We all went skiing at Snowbasin and had a blast. It was snowing for most of the day...but thats winter for ya :)
The next day we headed to my cousins house to celebrate her 13th birthday!
Before that festivity we ran into a little speedbump. Josh decided he needed to buzz his head again because it was getting a little long. He was doing it by himself and so I went into the bathroom to finish getting ready. I looked over at him and he looked like he was struggling so-as a wife is shining armor- I offered to help. I assumed he was just going over his hair again to make sure their weren't any straggelers left. I took the clippers from him and BUZZZZZED right up the side of his head. Little did I know....he had a different level thing on his clippers and was trying to clean up the edges...so yes....i completely cut his hair almost down to the scalp! I freaked out--and luckily he just laughed! He then had to continue to cut his hair that short so it all matched....he was basically bald! My poor bald husband! That experience officially goes down in the books as Marriage Blunder #1.
Josh & I were able to bond with my bro & Char. We played Phase 10-our second night playing that. Guess who won? ME. Duh, of course I won ;)
As most of us know, yesterday was SUPER BOWL SUNDAY. I will admit, I watch it for the party atmosphere, the commercials, and watching my dad turn up the TV volume to insane levels during halftime and watching how pleased he is with his 'sound system.' I love it.
January was just one of those months.....long & cold. I've been crazy busy with student teaching/work/school and Josh has as well. We finally got to go out to release some stress this past weekend.
We went on a double date with Trevor & Charlee....and Josh's bro & girlfriend joined us for dinner. We ate at Buca Di Beppo...yum yum. Then we went and played some mini golf at Trafalga in Orem. We made a wager that whoever won had to buy ice cream. We were winning the entire time.....until I had a 14 stroke hole! hahaha, but get this-we tied!
We ended the weekend with giving a talk in church. I knew it was coming sometime soon! They always have the new ward members give a talk in church-we've lived there since September, so our time had come. It went well though-with much credit to my new teaching experience under my belt.
It was definitely a good time....and check out this sparkling pink lemonade we bought! For cute :)Quick shout out-We bought it at the Sunflower Market which focuses on organic food as well as produce from local farmers. Support the local people! Buy at the Sunflower Market! ;)
