Park City

Yuck! We are so sick of this nasty inversion! I can't believe how bad it has gotten this year. To get some relief we decided to head up to Park city for the night. We shopped around for a while and went to dinner at Maxwells. We had never been to Maxwells before but it was AMAZING. The place was packed and there is a reason why. They have the best east-coast, thin crust, authentic pizza. It may be my new favorite place in PC. Beckett loved it too, he slurped up his plate of spaghetti as fast as he could.

MLK Jr Weekend

Ahhhh....you gotta love a 4 day weekend. We did A LOT of relaxing, eating. and spending time together. This month we had 2 birthdays in our family, Charlee (24) and Josh (28). We technically ended up celebrating a few times but officially celebrated with dinner at the Cheesecake Factory at City Creek Center. Beckett got a little cold and so he was exhausted, but that didn't deter him from running around City Creek like a mad man.

Saturday we wanted to get out of the house for a bit, so Josh made us go to Cabellas :) Beckett loved looking at all the animals and the fish. Animals are his faaaavorite thing right now. He can't get enough. We made sure he dressed the part too: camo & Carhartt.

I also baked some DELISH bread. MMM mmmm. It's kind of a goal of mine to be able to bake bread as good as my grandmother can. I will admit, this last batch almost hit the mark.

Our last small adventure of the break (besides laying around and watching movies), was a trip to Costco. Sometimes I feel like Costco is the happiest place on earth. Maybe it's the good prices, or the the bulk items, but it's probably just the free samples. Beckett had a hay day with the samples, he tried a fruit smoothie and ended up with it all over his face and body, and then chowed down on a salmon burger. What 18 month old likes salmon? Beckett, apparently. He is getting pickier with his food choices by the minute, so i'll take what I can get.

This weekend Josh & I worked on updating our coffee table. I must pat my husband on the back for being handy, he did most of the work. If you want to see how we did it, check out my other blog at: http://lifeoftayloralexa.blogspot.com/

Sharp Family Christmas & Josh's 28th

We stay busy around here during the holidays. We headed down to Orangeville a few days after Christmas to celebrate with the Sharp side. That way we are able to see the entire family. I will always remember this Christmas vacation as the Christmas with the handsoap (inside, embarassing story). When we got down there we opened our presents, got spoiled yet again! We spent a lot of time talking, catching up, and relaxing.

We took Beckett and some of the other little kids sledding. It was Beckett's first time. At first he went down with Josh and didn't like it at all, didn't want the snow to touch him. However, after about 5 runs or so he started to REALLY like it, laughing the whole way down. By the end he went down by himself! I couldn't believe it. It was a fairly small hill so I wasn't worried about that part, but Beckett totally loved it and was upset when we had to leave.

One afternoon we travelled to Cleavland, where Josh's brother Jacob lives and hung out there for a while. They had a sled tied to the back of a 4-wheeler and the kids were taking turns getting a ride. Beckett went on for a few loops but I don't think it was his favorite activity.

Lastly, we celebrated Josh's 28th birthday! There are a lot of people on his side that have a birthday in December so we celebrated them all with a HUGE dinner, presents, and cinnamon rolls.
