Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

The word 'change' doesn't even begin to describe it. Our lives are about to COMPLETELY change! We are moving to Colorado!!!

This move was not planned or expected. I will admit, it took a few weeks for me to even get my mind wrapped around the idea. We had always planned on staying in Utah, even knowing that Utah isn't the best place for dentists. However, after about 6 months of trying to make it work we have decided a different route.

Josh came to me with the idea of moving to Colorado for 5 years to work for Comfort Dental. The reasoning is to get our family ahead financially and then to be in a better position when we move back to Utah. After much thought, prayer, tears, and discussion we decided to make the leap. Josh officially accepted the offer to work for Comfort Dental last week, his office is located in Aurora. We put our house for sale, and we accepted an offer (for over asking price!) within 1 day. This is real people!

Currently, our closing date is April 15th. The kids and I will be moving in with my parents until the end of the school year. Things are about to get crazy! Moving, Josh starting his new job, finding a new house in Colorado....phew....I'm already exhausted. I think this will be the best move for our family and we're going to try our darndest to make the most out of it :)

Valentines

Valentines....the day of love :) We kicked off the holiday a little early with Beckett's party at school. He was very serious about putting his Valentines together. They had a fun little party and he was nice enough to share his loot with his sissy when he got home.

Valentines Day at our house started with heart shaped pancakes, of course. My cousin, Gillian, had her birthday party that day as well so we spent dinner at my aunts house with family.

Harlow's 2nd Birthday

Harlow girl had a great birthday! I'm not sure she knew exactly what was going on but she had a good time anyway :)

The day before her birthday we had family over. We had dinner, opened presents, and had cake and ice cream. The usual birthday party. Harlow got spoiled with presents! We don't know what to do with all of them between her birthday and Christmas. She loved all her presents but nothing beats her baby dolls!

The day of her birthday was on Monday so me, my mom, Beckett, and Harlow went to Color Me Mine. The kids got to pick out something to paint and when they were done the studio will glaze it and fire it to make it look awesome. It was fun and something they've never done. We went out to lunch as well. That night, when Josh was home from work, we went to a trampoline park. The kids had a blast. They couldn't get enough and definitely got a good work out in.

Harlow Quinn: 2 Year Update

Our baby girl is 2! I can't believe it. She has the cutest personality. We can't get enough of her!

Stats
Weight: 31.2 lbs (92%)
Height: 37.5" (98%)

Harlow at 2:
  • She loves her baby dolls. She got new ones for Christmas and has played with them nonstop ever since!
  • Very detail oriented. She's always looking intently at whatever she's playing with or coloring.
  • Is a picky eater! She has been ever since birth. She's starting to get a little better but not much.
  • Favorite foods: MILK, rice, cheese, strawberries, chocolate, salmon, French fries
  • She isn't a big TV watcher. She will request to watch Minnie Mouse but only for a few minutes.
  • She loves her princess nightgown and princess slippers. Those are her first choice if she gets to pick out her clothes.
  • Animal lover! She loves all animals. Going to the zoo or to the farm are her favorite things to do. She loves Bo too, even though he's constantly knocking her down!
  • A flirt. She loves boys, especially Uncle Trevor! haha.
  • Overall she has a big, happy, easy going personality. She loves going and doing, she loves being with people. I think she'll definitely be outgoing when she's older.

Family Vacation: Disneyland!!

We just got back from our first Sharp family vacation to Disneyland. It was awesome! Beckett has been asking to go for over a year now and we thought this was the perfect time to go. We can escape the snow here in Utah and go to Disneyland when it's a little slower.

The best thing we did was fly! We were in California by 10am and at Disneyland by lunchtime. The kids absolutely loved it (of course). It was there first time and they were mesmerized by the Disney characters they saw. We got a 3 day hopper pass and it was well worth it. We used it for the 3 days and went back and forth between Disneyland and California Adventure.

We ended up spending more time at California Adventure. It was less busy and had a lot of good rides for the kids. The kids favorite things they did were the parades (at both parks) and seeing/meeting the characters. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Pluto. Doc McStuffins. Chip & Dale, Sophia the First, Goofy, Daisy and Donald Duck, and princesses. They liked the rides as well but the characters were by far their favorite.

We spent a lot of time in the Bugs Life area riding the rides there. We also loved Radiator Springs, and the buzz lightyear rides. All in all it was awesome! No complaints!

Other than Disneyland, we also spent one day at Huntington Beach. It was 65 degrees and not crowded. We had an awesome day playing in the sand, riding bikes along the shore, and eating good food! It was Harlow's first time at the beach. She LOVED the sand from her first step. She wasn't such a big fan of the ocean though. Too loud and cold!
