Josh & I had the opportunity to attend Trevor & Charlee's temple sealing yesterday. It was a great ceremony and now they are sealed for all time and eternity! Here are a few pictures from the day.

Before & Afters
Alright, here is the post I've been excited about...the before and after pictures of our home. I think Josh & I are still trying to make up for all the lost sleep we've had the past month, but it was worth it. As I've mentioned earlier, we bought an older home and fixed up just about everything (well, at least on the top floor-the basement will come later). Josh & I (and my dad) painted every inch of the upstairs, including the insides of the closets. We got new carpet, new counters, and painted the kitchen cabinets. We did a lot of things ourselves, like the bedroom closets, which saved a lot of money and gave us a sense of pride in our home :) Josh did a lot of great work, he learned as he went and it all turned out fabulous. We still have a little work to do as far as getting everything up on the walls, but at least our house is now live able!
Ladies and gents, I now present you with the before and after pictures.

Surgery & an Update
Bree just had surgery on Tuesday and I wanted to give an update. Bree injured her knee a few years ago and has been trying to deal with it ever since. This fall it started getting swollen frequently so my parents took her into the doctor. At first look they thought she would have a typical knee surgery to fix the problem. After going to a few doctors they figured out that surgery on her knee wouldn't fix her knee, it was stemming from her hip. Her left femur bone was twisted inward which was causing knee problems. In order to fix her knee they would have to straighten out her femur, which is obviously a much bigger surgery than planned. The doctor went in, cut her femur, inserted a rod, straighted it out, and sewed her back up. In about a year, when her femur had healed straight, they will go back in and take the rod out. Phew....that's a lot!
Bree was a trooper and dealt with the surgery well. The surgery took a few hours and we visited her right after she woke up. She was a bit groggy, but as soon as she saw Beckett she woke right up! The first few days at the hospital she did great. Yesterday was her first full day at home, and according to my parents it hasn't been a fun experience. She has been nauseated a lot and hasn't been able to keep much food down. I hope she starts feeling better, but I think the next few weeks will be rough!
In other news, we are settled (mostly) into our knew house. We did a lot of work on it and it feels good to be almost done. We just need to finish up the bathroom counter and closets, then our upstairs will be complete (pictures soon)! We won't get to rest for long though, its warming up which means we'll start working on the outside.
Beckett has had a difficult time adjusting, and the time change last week really threw him off. He has been going to bed much later and fighting to go to sleep. Last night, however, he slept like a rock! This is a picture of him last night, I couldn't help it-I wanted to capture this cute little bug. He wouldn't take his Elmo slippers off either, good memories.

We're Moving!!
Big, big changes for our family. We are so excited about it. We officially signed and closed on our first home yesterday :) It has been a long ride, but glad we're here.
We've been talking about buying a house for a long time now and started looking this past fall. We looked at a lot of options online and in person but none of them were right. We then found an older home in North Salt Lake that had a lot of potential. We put an offer in on the house in mid December, we got the call just after Christmas that our offer was accepted! Then the fun began.
There is so much paperwork and little things that had to be done before we could close. It seemed like an endless process for a while. It was one thing after another-kind of made me feel like I was getting investigated for a crime! We got inspections on the house done, paperwork in, weighed our pros and cons and decided to move forward with it. We finally closed and got our keys yesterday.
The home is older, so there is A LOT of work that we need to do on the house. We are focusing on getting the upstairs complete before we move in: painting, tiling, replacing counters, re-doing cupboards, etc. It's a lot of work! Let's pray we get it done in time.
We're all so excited it's finally working out. The house is going to look great after we fix it up and it will be a great place for our family to grow. It's got a large back yard that B can run around in and in a quiet area. Once we're settled in, i'll have to invite you all over to party! ;)

Beckett
I still can't seem to get enough of my cute little Beckett. Believe it or not, he is going to be 2 years old in just over two months! I have snapped a handful of pictures lately that sum up his life as of late.
Playing with grandpa. He loves the attention he gets :)
Jumping on the bed, rough housing, 'wraaastling' with dad.
Helping mom & dad 'clean'. Notice his Elmo slippers....sometimes he refuses to take them off! He is OBSESSED with Elmo & Nemo.
Coloring! He finally found a love for coloring and has a grand ol' time. His favorite is stickers, but he's okay with markers as long as you let him color on the furniture a bit ;)
