Christmas 2015

Christmas was so much fun this year! Beckett was more into santa than he's ever been before. Santa sent an elf to our house, Spy. Spy kept a watch on us and it really helped Beckett to behave himself :) He even got up and immediately made him bed EVERY SINGLE MORNING!

Christmas Eve we went to my parents house with my dads side of the family. We had dinner and played the game 'Heads Up'. It was a funny game to play and we actually played it in Orangeville when we went after Christmas. When we got home from the party, Beckett made sure that we put cookies and carrots our for santa and the reindeer.

Christmas morning the kids woke up at about 8 am. They weren't sure what to think because there were so many toys! Harlow didn't quite understand Santa yet so she didnt' get it, but she did love her new toys! Beckett's favorites were his remote control car, star wars watch, and fort builder. Harlow's favorites were her Barbie baby and mini mouse food set. After looking at our toys and opening presents under the tree we went to my parents house.

We all got more spoiled there. Harlow got her first American Girl baby doll and Beckett got a magnet building set, amongst other things. After my parents house we went to the Rackham's for a minute to visit with Dax on Skype while on his mission.

We ended the night at my grandma's Christmas dinner party. We got spoiled there too! It was a great Christmas and by the time we headed home the kids were exhausted!!

Snooow Fun!

Beckett was waiting and waiting for it to snow this year. He was so excited to go sledding and build a snowman. He got what he wanted! We have made good use of the snow. He's played in it, been sledding, practiced shoveling, made a snowman, and went sledding attached to a 4-wheeler with our neighbors, the Pettingills and in Orangeville.

Ogden's Christmas Village

Growing up, we went to Ogden's Christmas Village a few times and decided to take the kids this year. We met up with my side of the family at a DELISH Italian restaurant. Afterwards, we went and walked around the park to see the houses lit up and the lights. They even had a little train you could ride. It was a lot of fun and cool to see our kids doing what I did as a kid!

Christmas Fun

Christmas is a million times more fun with kids! We've done a lot of fun things to bring the Christmas cheer into our house. The first is Spy, our elf. Beckett has had a lot of fun finding him every morning.
We made some Christmas playdough. You can't go wrong with that.
Grammy Stapley got the kids some cute Christmas pj's.

...and some more fun: shopping, ward party, and meeting santa (Harlow wasn't a fan of that activity-kicked and cried!)

It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Well, we finally had a BIG snow storm! We didn't have any big ones last year so this was fun. Beckett has been DYING to sled and build a snowman so he couldn't be happier. Harlow hasn't ever really experienced the snow and she dove right in. She played in the snow for about 1 1/2 hours even though the snow was up to her waist. They loved it so much that they played well into the night when it was dark outside. Josh got home from work with new sleds, it was dark outside but that didn't stop any of them! I was just happy they were able to play and get their energy out :)

Temple Square

It just doesn't feel like Christmas until we go see the lights at Temple Square. We've done it every year since Beckett was born and it's magical (and busy!) every time. We also made a stop to look at the candy windows at Macy's. Part of Josh's family was in town so we were able to meet up with them at Temple Square as well.

Christmas+Temple Square+Family=Perfection!
