This last weekend I went down to Orangeville to spend the weekend with Josh & his family. It had been a while since I had been down there because i've been so busy with wedding stuff-it was awesome to finally get there and get away. I have to admit i'm liking that small, little town more and more. Josh always keeps us super busy when i'm there with stuff to do-which is an awesome break from work & wedding planning :) We went boating on Saturday in Huntington and I learned how to Wakeboard-well....I am no pro, but I at least got up! After that experience I decided to give Knee Boarding a try-Kari (Josh's sister) got in the lake with me and taught me how....it was way fun! I loved it.
Later that day we went up into the mountains and Josh taught me how to load & shoot a Riffle and Shotgun (I think, lol). Then we had a BBQ-Josh's favorite thing-and capped off the night with some UFC fighting......what a good woman I am for watching that ;) for the record Taylor likes that kind of stuff she was getting into it as much as we were.
Unfortunately Josh and I are back from our fabulous vacation to Newport Beach, CA. It was wonderful...and I for one, wish I was still there! We flew there with my immediate and extended family early on July 4th and enjoyed that day on the beach. We stayed right next to the board walk in a beach house and spent a lot of time people watching :) We got a lot of beach time in, shopped, boogie boarded in the freezing water, road bicycles on the boardwalk, and ate some good food! It was a good time and I miss spending time with my whole family. Josh now knows what its like to be apart of the Stapley Family....to say the least. :D
MJ is the Man! I was looking forward to his comeback...
My favorite song of all time happens to be from Michael Jackson, 'Heal the World'. I've posted it here for you all to enjoy :)
NEW YORK, NY – June 25, 2009 – Michael Jackson, one of the most widely beloved entertainers and profoundly influential artists of all-time, leaves an indelible imprint on popular music and culture.
Commenting on his passing, Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman, CEO and President, Sony Corporation, said: “Michael Jackson was a brilliant troubadour for his generation, a genius whose music reflected the passion and creativity of an era. His artistry and magnetism changed the music landscape forever. We have been profoundly affected by his originality, creativity and amazing body of work. The entire Sony family extends our deepest condolences to his family and to the millions of fans around the world who loved him.”
Five of Jackson’s solo albums – “Off the Wall,” “Thriller,” “Bad,” “Dangerous” and “HIStory,” all with Epic Records, a Sony Music label – are among the top-sellers of all time. During his extraordinary career, he sold an estimated 750 million records worldwide, released 13 No.1 singles and became one of a handful of artists to be inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Jackson as the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time and “Thriller” as the Biggest Selling Album of All Time. Jackson won 13 Grammy Awards and received the American Music Award’s Artist of the Century Award. Michael Jackson started in the music business at the age of 11 with his brothers as a member of the Jackson 5. In the early 1980s, he defined the art form of music video with such ground-breaking videos as “Billie Jean,” “Beat It” and the epic “Thriller.” Jackson’s sound, style and dance moves inspired subsequent generations of pop, soul, R&B and hip-hop artists.

Well, life has been busy as always. I just finished school last week-finals were rough! Now i'm living with my parents for the next two months while working in SLC, then moving back to Orem in August for school. Josh is still in Orangeville working....we are surviving the long distance thing. No fun! He does come up a lot, and for that I am thankful!!
Last weekend was my best friend, Lauren's, wedding. We threw her a Luau themed wedding shower the week before that and then the wedding festivities took place last Thursday. She looked gorgeous in her wedding dress-Bryce and her couldn't have looked happier. I'm so excited for them! Josh was able to drive up for the wedding reception that night-it only made us more anxious for our big day!
This weekend we're flying to Newport Beach with my family for a vacation-a MUCH needed vacation. I can't wait....
Well, so much has happened this summer but i've had NO time to write about it! I've been busy slaving my days away with summer school and work ;) It's almost over though....I can feel the freedom!
So our update: Josh and I have had a lot of fun so far, running around from Centerville to Orangeville. A few weekends ago I was able to go down and visit Orangeville. Josh was determined to show be the pretty side of the E.C. (Emery County) and he succeeded. He took me on a tour and boy was it interesting ;) We went bouldering-which for those of you who don't know, is like rock climbing but on a huge boulder.....it was a lot of fun but I definitely wasn't a natural at it. I came back with some scrapped up body parts. After that we went on a fun 4-wheeler ride, and I went fishing for the first REAL time. It was all a ton of fun and Josh never fails to show me a good time.
Other than that we're busy planning the big wedding. Life couldn't be better!
